Large Pendulum Suspension
J. J. M. Hoogervorst / Anvia
Netherlands 1957
Painter and draftsman, J. J. M. Hoogervorst became a light designer after the 1939/45 war. Strongly inspired by Italian creations, notably Gino Sarfatti, he designed lights for Anvia that have now become great design classics. This pendulum suspension "5018", nicknamed "Fishing rod" is the most emblematic of its production. Published in 1957, its 211 cm arm pivots freely on its shaft, its inclination is adjusted by screwing or unscrewing the counterweight. This copy dates from the fifties, white enameled, it is perfectly operational.
